The Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Burkina Faso Country Grant is now closed and applications are being reviewed.
Mott MacDonald, the Fleming Fund Management Agent for Country Grants, invites proposals from qualified licenced/registered entities in Burkina Faso to work towards strengthening antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance and response in Burkina Faso. Work will be carried out in support of Burkina Faso’s Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Committee (AMRCC).
Objectives of the grant
The objectives of the grant have been developed and agreed in close collaboration with members of the AMRCC. The objectives are to:
- strengthen AMR and One-Health Governance through supporting the AMRCC and AMRNC
- strengthen the operational capacities of the two national reference laboratories (Human Health and Animal Health) and the sentinel laboratory sites
- improve the surveillance capacities (data collection, management, analysis, reporting) for AMR, antimicrobial consumption (AMC) and antimicrobial use (AMU), at central, regional and field levels
- improve AMU/AMC knowledge and regulation capacity in human and animal health
