The Fleming Fund has supported Senegal on the development of its National Action Plan (NAP) through the Global Grant to the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Senegal are also supported by the Fleming Fund through the OIE grant. The 2018 Performance of Veterinary Services (PVS) Pathway regional training for Francophone African countries was held in Senegal in July and the PVS gap analysis mission took place in November. A PVS laboratory mission is being planned for 2019.
The Fleming Fund has worked with the Senegalese High Council for Global Health Security to develop a Request For Proposals (RFP) for a grant that can support the implementation of key priorities from the countries National Action Plan.
The aim is to support Senegal’s action to strengthen the One Health governance and data sharing and strengthen AMR and antimicrobial usage (AMU) surveillance systems in animal, environmental and human health sectors.
The RFP was published in February 2019 and applications are now closed and applications are being reviewed.
