Proposals Under Review
The Fleming Fund has supported Sierra Leone on the development of its National Action Plan (NAP) through the Global Grant to the World Health Organisation (WHO). Additionally, the Global Grant to WHO for substandard and falsified medicines aims to implement improved post market surveillance of antimicrobial medicines across Sierra Leone. To date WHO has been working in country to train and prepare for this system.
The Fleming Fund has worked with Government of Sierra Leone’s National Multisectoral Coordinating Group (NMCG) to develop a Request For Proposals (RFP) for a grant that can support the implementation of key priorities from the countries National Action Plan.
The aim is to support Sierra Leone’s action to strengthen the One Health governance structure for AMR and antimicrobial use (AMU) surveillance and also improve the surveillance systems for AMR and AMU across animal and human health.
The applications for the Sierra Leone Country Grant are now closed and grants are being reviewed.
